Introduction

199 Racing.. or should that now be '99 Racing'

Thanks for taking the time to visit our blog! We can't always guarantee it will be funny and entertaining but we hope it will give you an insight into the time and effort that goes into trying to race bikes at a club level in the UK. We might not be the fastest out there but the commitment and effort is still required, not to mention the deep pockets. We hope you enjoy the blog and look forward to reading your comments.

making progress

Another busy week of prepping bikes and generally trying to get things sorted. Both bikes are now 'almost' there. Mechanically they seem sorted and wheels are ready to go in (waiting for weather forecast on that one) but we have to drive to Carlisle tonight to collect the bodywork from JLHRacepaint so will be a late one for us.

Once the bodywork is back on tomorrow we will hopefully get the graphics from Rich at Signs Express and we can get the bikes finalised on Thursday night ready for test day on Friday.

Ryan is still a bit sore on his ribs after his highside but we managed to get out for some offroad practice on Sunday as it's great fitness work for riding the bikes. My body is telling me exactly which muscles I used when riding - seems to be all of them!

I tried out my new Held leathers last night on a road ride to pick up some bits and they are fantastic, really flexible and comfortable. I am always nervous about first ride in new leathers but these fit great and I don't think I am going to have any issues :)

So, all being well we are out testing on Friday and racing on Sunday, both at Oulton Park if anyone fancies coming along for a biscuit and a cuppa.
